The UAE is set to be one of the first countries in the Arab world to open a chapter of Women in Aviation. Women in Aviation is an non-profit international organization whose objective is to support and encourage the advancement of women in aviation related careers. Mervat Sultan from Ramjet Aviation Support along with Christina Tervo from Wolston Sky are set to be the co founders of the UAE chapter of WIA and have spear headed the cause for a regional presence. This was put forward at the recent Dubai Airport Show 2013 in Dubai, at the exhibition titled “Women in Aviation’ organized by the German chapter of the WIA.
